   Hello ppl

well i have a question...u see i wanna buy a HPA tank but i was wondering what all the numbers mean
i know Ci is cubic inchs and a higher number means more shots per fill

but i dont know what the other one means
i think it was PSI not sure

so how does the PSI number make a difference to the shooting

also
why do some tanks sell at really crazy prices
like a smaller tank that shoots less paintballs will cost a hell of a lot more than a bigger tank

like a 48ci for say 180$
and a 60 sum
selling for a little over a hundred

im guessing it the actuall tank size and weight
but more experienced person opinion would really help

what does it mean when they say a tank has no T Stamp????

	Ok, well. Psi is pounds per square inch. 3000psi tanks getting 10x the CI of the tank. 15x for 4500psi and 20x for 5000psi. 3000psi tanks are fairly cheap compared to 4500. With wrapped tanks, they're way lighter but more expensive than steelies. Price also varies with brand. I prefer Crossfire. They're consistant and safe. 4500s by the same brand will cost the same price no matter CI, usually. What you want to watch for is Hydro Date. That's the year it expires then you'll need to have it tested. My favorite sized tank is a 70ci/4500psi tank. It's stubby, so it's bigger girth, but shorter. Many people use 68ci though. 	What does it mean when they say that a tank doesnt have a TC stamp and all that stuff or when it does???

	I have no idea what theyre talking about for the TC stamp. Perhaps its a Canada thing or something, I dont know. The only thing Ive really paid attention to when purchasing tanks was the hydro date, condition, and its size. Ive never even heard of the TC Stamp. The only thing I can think of, is that its another name for the hydro testing stamp/label they put on it. But, ill let someone else chime in on that. And there are only a few advantages. Pretty much they are way way lighter, and have the options of higher PSI. Ive only seen steelies in 3000psi, but the wrapped tanks will go up to 5000psi. There are more selections of regulators that are sold on the wrapped tanks too. Not as many companies sell steelies with different regs, but, you can always have a swap done.

	I believe TC is the Canadian version of the US DOT and is responsible for approving compressed air tanks for usage/refilling in Canada. My understanding (from research, not having played in Canada) is that without the stamp the tank will not be allowed to be used/refilled there.

	awesome thanks for the help its cause i was gonna buy a tank online but it was for a really low price anyways i kept reading and then it said note to customer this tank does not have a TC stamp and i had no idea what that meant and because im new and i personally dont know anyy paintballers i couldnt ask anybody anyways about getting it checked its usually 3 to 5 years isnt it what kind of problems can u expect to happen to the tank and how long does a tank usuually last thanks in advance

	Given that you are new, I would purchase a tank brand new from a store instead of(Im assuming) ebay. This way there is no need to worry about hydro testing or any other problems. And by "usually last" I am assuming you mean shots per fill. This depends on the marker that you have. CarbonFiber is your best purchase if you have the money. Shoot for something with high CI and High PSI. You will also need to make sure that it is either High Output or Low Output. Again, this will depend on the type of marker you have.

	thank u but know on average how long does ur tank last im not that new yo lol and no i was going to buy the tank from action village (any good or bad exp with action village would be nice all) also to make myself clearer what are the stupid things that ppl mess up there tank over ex.falling and droping it really hard or things that need to be replaced every now and then thanks again in advance

	hi as we are on the air subject iam thinking of using air aswell i have a tippman 98 with carbine stock, exspansion chamber, cyclone feed, rocket cock and jj 16inch ceramic barel can i use air with this or do i need to upgrade the internals?

	i heared u can use air on anything....i think u only need the expansion chamber with co2 but im not sure someone will clarify eventually

	Yes you can use air for your 98c. The expansion chamber only helps for co2

	a TC stamp means "Travel Canada". And yes, its the Canadian version of USDOT. Simply put, if your tank doesn't have a TC stamp, you can't take it into Canada. Its no big deal if you live in 90% of the US. But if you live near the border like me, it can be a thing to watch out for. If I ever hit up another game in Wasaga Beach, I'll need to rent a tank. If you are just starting out, I would ecommend just getting a cheap 68/3000 steel tank. They are pretty standard and can be found for a good price. The steel means that it likely won't need to be hydrostatically tested for 5 years, some carbon fiber tanks need to be done every 3. Expansion chambers serve no purpose with HPA. Your gun shouldn't need any modifications to run HPA, just take off your CO2 and screw in the new bottle. You may notice that you need to turn your speed up a little bit. You will also notice huge performance increases, as well as consistency. If you arn't sure what to buy, go in to a proshop and invest a little time. Put money in their store and they will take care of you, which is better than some random online store.
