So I picked up a bunch of spare magazines for my TPXs, and swung by some gun stores looking for mag pouches.
Much to my surprise/chagrin, I discovered that the TPX magazines are just a tad too big. They are a litter fatter than "DEagle" mags even. As a result, I was unable to find anything suitable, and had to endure the disdain of gun store people for no reason.
So - any suggestions? Has anybody found a good way to carry extra TPX magazines? I, of course, have a game this Sunday and need to get something quickly.
Thanks.

I've got a vest and two drop-leg rigs from SpecialOps (2-pod pack and tank pouch) which have lasted through about 3 seasons of being beat up. They're solidly made, and aren't falling apart just yet (ripped material on a corner on one, and threading on the tank pouch due to the way it's made).
http://shop.specialopspaintball.com/special-ops-tac-8-or-tpx-tri-mag-pouch.html That's SO's mag pouch. Unfortunately, you'd have to special order for anything but what they have listed. It would also probably take too long to get to you by mail for a game Sunday. But, a good choice if you want something that will last a while. |

I don't know the exact dimensions of the TPX mags but I was experimenting with Tiberious mags a while back and found that a standard M16 ammo pouch with homemade foam inserts will hold two very nicely.
One other idea that I have been considering but have yet to try is to spray paint a bright orange stripe on each mag. It would be out of site inside the marker when in use but might make finding a dropped magazine easier. |

That and you could use your trusty pockets. They always work for me whenever i need to put something in them. like.. Car keys, cell phone... etc.. I dont see how the TPX mags could be much different. unless your carrying like 15 of them. On to the helpful part of this post... I dont have a TPX.. But i thought Tippmann had a holster for it that could carry extra mags? http://tippmann.com/usa/product_guide/accesDetails.aspx?id=763 Well it appears that only holds 1 extra mag. I think your best bet would be to make something. I am assuming you need to hold your co2 cartridges somewhere too. If you make something yourself you can design it however you want. |

I was actually pleased to find a under shoulder holster for my TPX in an army Surplus store. It just needs to have a few stiches removed. But it has a 2 mag holder on the other side that works perfectly.
