what do you think is better for the a-5, the e-grip or the response trigger? if you have the Egrip should you go to nitrogen?

I would go with the e-grip. The only thing you have to worry about if you play woods is getting it wet. This shouldn't be a prob. unless you are dunking your gun in water.

My opinion: E-grip. Reason: the A-5 already uses a good amount of air to power both the normal cycling of the gun... and the cyclone feed. I really wouldn't want to add another system that feeds off gas. You will not NEED to go to Nitrogen for the E-grip. Since it is a sear-tripping mechanism and air does not run through a solenoid... use of CO2 is fine. Although it would be beneficial to switch to HPA/Nitro for better performance. Beneficial... but not necessary. I use my E-grip A-5 with CO2 in the warmer months, even though I have HPA tanks I can use. But I don't fire at high rates, therefore my risk of freezing up or getting nothing but spikes is relatively low. When it gets colder out... I'll use my HPA. Edited by ShortyBP |

Welcome to the forum
instead of drugging up an old thread from 2005 you should just start a new post and ask a question of your own your more likely to get an answer that way. |

for water proofing? maybe? in which case, i'd recomend using a ballon, or a condom, not electrical tape. |

both are good systems. the r/t almost never fails and the e grip lets you custumize how you want it. |
