When I was getting chrono'd I kept going over 280 fps from 290 -300 +.  I tried adjusting it with the velocity screw but I was still shooting "high" and very inconsistent as if it didnt have an effect.  This issue only started after I replaced the rear bolt/insert plug, tombstone, and sear.

My marker's mods are a replaced newer style rear bolt/insert plug, tombstone, and sear, shocktech front bolt, 16" j&j ceramic fluted barrel, 45ci 3000psi fiber wrapped Pure Energy tank, shocktech gas through grip w/ bottom line into a lapco drop fwd.

If someone can point me in the right direction that'd be great. thanx

Your gas through grip is supplying extra air to the valve.
It acts like a storage area, or chamber.

Best bet is a spring kit IMO
