'Tis the year of Darwin, and scientists are continuing their work to uncover the secrets of the past and the future.

Now they think they might be able to determine what colors dinosaurs really were:  http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/01/science/01feath.html?_r=1&hpw

Maybe in a few years we will watch Jurassic Park and think how silly it is:  "Everybody knows T-Rex was yellow.  Duh."

"E Pluribus Unum" does not mean "Every man for himself".

Awesome!  But for some reason I have doubt that dinosaurs were as colorful as fish...  They were probably about the same color as current reptiles (brownish green).

Did anyone here have that computer game when you were a little kid where you could decorate your own dinosaur and it would say funny things?

MAD CANADIAN SCIENTIST

Quote Larsson believes by flipping certain genetic levers during a chicken embryo's development, he can reproduce the dinosaur anatomy, he told AFP in an interview.

And isn't it ironic that a Canadian scientist will end up destroying the world?

I dunno.....the epic badassery of certain notable carnivores might be somewhat lessened if it turns out they were purple with nice white polka dots.

When I think of Little Whale I still see the caterpillar eyebrows and lumberjack beard.
