Just installed the e-trigger, press power to turn it on, goes orange, then green for 2 seconds, then goes red and will not fire, will not shut off or respond to either pulling the trigger, pressing the power button, or hold either of the two for any amount of time. If I hold the power button for six seconds, it is orange, then blinks red several times and turns off. Did I get a bad board?

No, I think your boards fine IMO
First, get a different battery, from a different store in a different state lol and put it in and try it. 9 volts are famous for dying in storage, even though there is a best before or expiry date. If that doesn't work, take the marker apart again and remove the board. The 4 wires at the bottom of the board should come straight out at a 90o angle to the board for 1/2 an inch brfore turning downwards. They should all be parallel (side by side) exiting the board, and not cross over each other until after the curve down. Make it as neat as possible. ![]() The wires at the top (switch wires), make sure they aren't crushed or pinched between the shells. Most board issues I've seen are contact problems. Good luck |

OK the battery was fine, when I took the marker apart I saw that on the back of the circut board, the solder points for the trigger switch both made contact with the marker body, essentially bypassing the trigger switch as if it were permanently held down. some electrical tape over the solder points solved the issue. Now, since I installed into a bravo one, not a 98 custom, I've encountered another problem, it's not hitting the sear with enough force to release the bolt, barely, because a couple out of many many shots will release. I think i have no choice now but to very carefully re-shape the sear edge.
Anywho, good news is the e-trigger works as it is supposed to and I just have to tinker with the mechanical side of things.

Did you buy the kit, with sear, sear spring, board, etc.?
The etrigger sear and spring are different than the mech setup.
If I'm not wrong the Bravo One actuator pin is different from the 98. Longer I believe.
I'm not 100% on that but reasonably sure.
Glad to hear you figured the board out.

Yes I got that kit, for the actuator pin I had to buy steel rod of the same thickness and cut to length, no problem. It needed about an extra inch, just a little less like 7/8th. Some grinding of the sear edge and I soon had an out of control gun on my hands, but had enough material remaining on the sear to reshape the edge again and it is working as it is supposed to, actually not releasing on the odd shot now but mostly working so I'm on the cautious side vs. the could go wild again anytime side. Once the edge wears a little it wont stick. On monday I'll be playing my first game with this mod, woodsball at my buddies place, also has a small speedball course set up. I broke a toe 2 weeks ago so I need a little advantage ;)
