I have had my A-5 for a few years now and the paint coat on the body of the marker has been gradually chipping off. Is there a company that reapplies the paint or is there a way that I can do it myself?
I feel like this problem must be common since I have taken good care of the marker and have made sure to clean and oil it after every use. Any suggestions? |

Wear and tear happens, and there are a couple of options. First, you can tear it down, clean it up and use some rattle can paint. Cheapest route and you will get the lowest durability. Two other routes are either powdercoating or duracoat. Both are considerably more durable than spray paint, but also more expensive.

There's always the third option. It is the one that I use, and get given a hard time for by fellow forumers, called "not worrying about it."

The one I'm specifically thinking of (and being given a hard time about) is a 98 custom that I got when the customs first came out; so it is a few years old.

You can not anodize a Tippmann, except the pro-carbine.
You can powder coat any Tippmann. You can paint any Tippmann. In fact, I believe there is still a sticky floating around one of these forums, with instructions to do so. |

Agreed. Battle scars add character, its not like your A5 is a collectors piece or anything. |
