So I have about 500 shmazolees coming my way and I was wondering what you guys would buy.
I was kinda leaning toward a wii and some games, would be great to have friends over and play also get the folks away from the computer for awhile. But the graphics are kinda poopy and matureish games are hard to come by on the wii. And it should go down in price by the end of the month. PS3 great graphics, bluray, and modern warfare 2 coming out. But I don't have a lot of money for bluray disks and my tv is not that great. Plus I don't have a whole lot of time to waste playing warfare 2, which I know will consume my very soul as 1 did. (friend had a ps3 in the dorm). PSP Go coming out soon, graphics = meh, games = meh. Great for portability, can play at work. Battery life may be crap though. Plus the $250 price tag is a major downfall. Ipod touch 3g. Plays games, music(which I dont have much of) and movies (which I do have a lot of). Downfall $280 and no FM tuner. Same category is the Nano, less games still plays movies(small screen though) but has a video camera which is pretty cool. Also FM tuner with live pause. $175 for the one I want. Or something else? or something paired with something? I'm just trying not to buy something that I am going to regret 3 months from now. |

Nice to see Apple adding features to the iPod that I've enjoyed for years on my Zen Vision.
On topic, save the money? |

Been saving my money. This will be the first sizable chunk of money that I can and actually want to spend. I'm usually very frugal with my money... if not stingy. Lets just say, the last time I bought something on a whim was FarCry for the PC, when it was brand spanking new.

Buy a gun. Become obsessed with them like a lot of us forumers, and join in on the discussions.
I would suggest starting with a Remington rifle. Should fall within your price-range. Short of that, a pistol. |

This is probably a terrible suggestion for something you should spend money towards.

How bout a car. Can find a fun fixer upper for that. It may not run and will need body work but come on working on stuff like that beats any video game made.
Look for something not overly desierable but that their are lots of em out their. Next build i do will be a older Ford Ranger. LOTS of the old 4 cylinder modles out there BEGGING for a 5.0L swap. |

Lets see; Gun, got one WASR-10. Pretty fun, glad I bought it. Technically not bought... birthday present.
Nintendo DS; my mom has a lite, and I'm not a huge fan of it. I would need an attachment just to play music and movies. Sky diving.... Hmmmmm.... Maybe. I'm also thinking I might save up for a trip to Alaska. (or Arizona to see my new womans folks.) Definatly not on the car. I just bought an 06 cooper to get way from older used stuff. I also have a 73 bug partially restored that I'm trying to get rid of. Just lost interest in it soon after I rebuilt the engine. Good replies guys. Thanks! Penny stocks. If you're gonna blow the money anyway, why not play with it? Who knows, could work out rather well.

Id say get one of the new PS3s. Use it for the internet, watch online videos with it and such.
I know in the next month or so im going to get rid of my Xbox 360 and pick up a PS3.
