Being in the heart of Paintball Season I find myself going to more Pick Up games. Making sure that I have everything I need before I hit the Field. Now for us rec ballers, this meant Rubbermaid totes that we stole from our Significant others or Relatives. Maybe a old Hockey bag. Or the olde Speedballer mega bags.
As those of us in Facebook know Tippmann Sports recently released 3 gear bags. Made to fit the needs of the Recreational Player, the Scenario player and "That Guy" you know the guy you can always count on to bring everything from extra O rings, Air tanks and enough miscellaneous pieces to set up your own Pro Shop. 
I opted for the Players Bag. It has a Wide Mouth that's wire reinforced. The Marker is made with Woodsballers in mind. Inside I can put my Primary X-7 e gripped with the X-36 Stock and my Back up my new Tippmann/US Army Project Salvo (I love that Gun, it's my limited paint set up) and a side arm and holster. Inside the bag has two straps for securing 2 air tanks, mine are in my Harness in a custom Y remote so they are not pictured. A long inner pocket for tools, the inner pocket is so long I can fit in it easily, squeegees, spare MILSIM magazine for my ABT, Tac Caps, x-7 hopper and my hand held radar chronograph. 
It also has a large outer pocket that's vented for clothes. This pocket has a smaller zippered pouch that easily fits a wallet car keys and a cell phone. The Players bag is the most economical of the new Tippmann gear bags but as you can see it was designed with the serious player in mind. The bag is made sturdy it has heavy duty zippers and triple stitching.

I received the Tippmann Gear Bag Thursday night and after
removing it from the box, I was surprised at both, the size and quality
of the bag. For a gear bag, it is massive! The linked video on
Tippmann's facebook page does not do the bag justice on representing
the bag's actual size. One must see it in person, to believe it. A
player can easily and comfortably fit an average amount (plus some) of
gear in this bag. The combination of wheels, center carry handle , and
the front and rear carry handles make lugging this bag and the
equipment inside an easy task. The roll - out repair mat is a nice
touch, as well as the zippered inner storage pouches. Having the center
lining and gun slot adjustable and removable will help in the cleaning
of the bag in the event of an accidental paint break.
One suggestion would be to use zippers that have holes for
locks to be used to help secure the items inside from theft. While a
seasoned or determined thief might just as easily just grab the whole
bag and cut it open later, having a lock option on the zipper may slow
down or deter the less motivated or amateur thief.
Over all this bag definitely fit the needs of any experienced
player that transports a lot of gear, does repairs out at the fields
and in between play, or even travels a lot with their gear. The bag can
easily be configured to any players needs and will store a ton of
gear. Congrats once again on another wonderful product! I'll try to post pictures and see how much stuff I can cram in there sometime in the next few days.

I'm the afore mentioned "that guy". I transport 6 markers (4 are mine, 2 are a friends, as well as my tpx and holster) plus masks, co2, vest, pods, tools, spare parts, etc...
Usually they are transported in backpacks and cardboard boxes. I dropped off my 98c pro at the shop today for some work (needs act spring and there is an issue with my remote line and new HPA tank guy said he'll fix for nothing) and will be picking up the big bag on rollers tomorrow when I go back for my marker. It will be so nice to have a big bag for everything that is easy to transport. For those curious I got so many markers so I can introduce friends to paintball that otherwise would never get to try it. Between me and my friend we have 98c, 98c pro, 2x spiders, BE marauder (not great but works good enough, and it was $14), a JT, and my tpx. When we go out everyone gets to have a good time. i've been looking at these bags, and i have watched the youtube video that was posted on the facebook group. i want one of these bags. i only have 2 markers to carry, but i've got a couple masks, a couple barrels, and a few pieces of clothing and other gear that i use. i was looking at the same bag as posted above, but still not sure on the size. and unfortunately i do not have a paintball shop/dealer anywhere close to where i live, so i can't just go there and check it out. i also was quite intrigued by the mammoth bag they put out. seeing as how its got loads of room for all the paintball stuff you'll ever need. if anyone does get the XXXXXL bag, please post pics and a review.

I got the big bag. I'll have to get pics. Last Sunday I used it. Was able to fit 2 x tippmann 98 customs, tippmann 98c pro with cyclone hopper, 2x victor spyders, a JT, a BE marauder, 6 hoppers, 5x 20 oz co2 tanks, a 72ci 3,000 psi hpa tank, TPX with holster, tools, couple pair of gloves, kneepads, and still had room for uniform (pants and 2 shirts) and any other soft stuff like rags. The thing is huge and heavy, you will appreciate the wheels on the bag. We'll see just how durable it is with this torture testing every sunday.

dude, the roller bag sounds GINORMOUS!!! i don't need anything that big really. i think the players bag will suffice, i only have 2 markers to carry, a 4 pod belt, a couple tanks, a mask and barrel kit. but please post pics anyway, i'm sure i'm not the only one that is benefiting from this thread

I got the roller bag a while ago and it's exactly what I hoped it would be. Has a collapsable, short handle, but with the length of the bag it is perfect for rolling it behind you, and doesnt hit you in the heels. And I'm used to seeing roller blade wheels on bags, but this one has bigger, much more rugged wheels so that was a smart move as it will likely be used on gravel and dirt. The compartments are adjustable which is fantastic so you can even use it as a normal duffel bag if you'd like.

I have the larger gear bag and over this past weekend, I was able to borrow a digital camera, took pictures, and was prepared to post pictures today, but I then learn I do not have the proper usb cord to transfer the pics to my pc.
I will report what I was able to easily stuff into that bag. Here is the list as follows: In the main compartment area, 2 V-force masks (I could have fit six,) a Project Salvo marker with stock barrel attached, an Alpha Black with stock barrel attached, an A-5 marker without the barrel attached, a 98 marker without the stock barrel attached, 3 100rd(?) paintball pods, 4 hoppers, the entire TpX in the case, a Java harness, an A-5 solid stock, an Alpha Black collapsible stock, a Project Salvo collapsible stock, six replaceable V-force mask lenses, three unattached barrels, an A-5 flatline. In the clothing/side pouch: A paintball jersey, remote line, 20 ounce CO2 tank, 9 ounce CO2 tank, and 50 round paintball pod. This area still had room even with the items listed. A full change of clothes could fit inside this pouch. Hopefully I was able to verbally illustrate the amount this bag can hold. I will continue to work on uploading the pictures but hunting down the proper usb cable. If there are further questions, please feel free to ask and I will attempt to answer any concerns.

well it sounds like i don't need the roller bag. i have decided to go for the Player's Bag, as it seems to be more fitting to the gear i have to carry around with me. my next question to you guys who have the Players bag is: does a full 2000rd box of ammo fit in the bag as well as all your gear? (either in the box, or just the 4 bags)

Finally was able to upload the pics for the largest gear bag Tippmann offers. Like I said earlier, this bag can hold alot.
See for yourself. I also got the roller bag, and it came just in time too. It arrived just days before I was set to move, and it was given its first test right out of the box. With it, I managed to neatly transport much of my paintball gear. The space, the pockets, it was perfect for what I needed it to do. I don't have pictures, but I can say that this bag will serve perfectly when I need to transport multiple markers to games- since I'm always loaning to family and friends.

I also got the roller bag, and it is outstanding.
I always bring a lot of gear to play. At least two full setups, usually three or four. A couple of barrel choices, spare hoppers, attire changes, tools and parts... Hey - what's the point of having a bunch of stuff if I just leave it in the basement the whole time? Besides, as with Reb, I am usually supplying loaners to a couple of friends, and I usually end up being tech support as well.
I have been through a whole bunch of bags over the years. I have big bags and small bags, gym bags and suitcases. None were good enough - until this one.
I also don't have pictures, cuz I suck like that, but here are some highlights:
- It can fit all the stuff I bring to the field (including a smaller bag for taking into deadzones). That's 3-4 guns, 3-4 tanks, 3-4 hoppers, and a whole bunch more. That includes some long guns FULLY ASSEMBLED.
- The strategically placed dividers and pockets allow me to do this without breaking everything. That said, I would not recommend this bag for people who travel light. Not everything is strapped down; you need a certain amount of "full" to make sure your stuff is safe.
- Despite its size and features, IT STILL FOLDS UP TO FIT INTO A LOCKER. This is huge - none of my other big bags would fit in a locker when empty, which rendered them useless for many indoor fields.
- Yes, the handle and wheels are the right size and balance too. Great, but not a biggie for me, since I don't feel manly enough checking in if I am dragging my stuff behind me. The wheeling also doesn't work so well in the really outdoorsy outdoors places (it rolls fine on gravel and dirt, but dragging it through the woods gets ugly). I guess it could double as an overnighter for business trips. Maybe I'll do that some time.
- I wish Tippmann would include better instructions/use suggestions. The dividers, compartments, and straps are clever, but I am confident that there are uses that I am missing.
- Bottom line, this is far and away the best big bag I have ever seen. I won't take it when I am just bringing one setup (might get one of the midsize bags for that, based on this thread), but if you like to bring the kitchen sink when you play, there is nothing else out there like it.

Picked up the Players Bag today. Very impressed with the zipper quality as
that is what usually dies in my gear bags. Very happy and recommend it.

How long is it on the inside? I want a duffel bag that can fit my A5 with 12" barrel, without having to remove the barrel everytime. The gun is adapted to use t98 barrels, so I'd rather not have to unscrew the barrel constantly because it will damage the o-ring on it. The marker is like 23-24" long.

So I have purchased both the Player's Bag and the Deluxe Roller Bag.
the Player's Bag was waaaay to small for the amount of gear I have. its a great bag, but not enough room for my junk. the Deluxe Gear Bag has tons of room, but it came damaged. one of the wheel pods was busted off the bag. It had tons of room for all my junk. So due to the dealings I have had with both these bags, I am going to find a similar bag from another manufacturer and try those and see where it gets me |

So I got my Player's Bag in the mail and it is amazing. Very thick and
durable material, and the zippers and zipper teeth are huge and solid.
It was big enough to fit my A5 with 12" barrel attached easily and with
plenty of room to spare. Here are some pictures so people can see how
much room there is.
Player's Bag  Everything fits easily in the bag, or in the pockets on the outside and inside of the bag.  The gun is held in place by two velcro straps, and the air tank is held in place by a velcro strap. There is another strap for if you have a second tank. Also there are 4 pods shown in the holders, but it has 5 holders in total. The pocket on the inside there is quite big. I've got o-rings and crap in there, including two standard grips (one is my friend's) for if my e-grip battery wears out, and then I've also got a pack of 9-volt batteries in the pocket as well. The outside pocket has a couple rags and a barrel cleaner, and then inside that pocket is another zippered pocket where I keep my tools.  This bag is perfect. I used to have all this crap lying around, but now it's organized nicely in the bag. |
