2 hrs before high tide... notace the CANAL behind my neighbors house... my dumb A went to work this morning (barely made it in my grand prix...) i left a warm bed and a warm chick this morning to go to work because we have training and we catch hell if we miss it... about an hour after work starts they come into our training and say all non essential personal can leave... however we need to stay to stack sandbags because the dry docks about to flood (not a good thing when theres a boat in it full of holes...) {so we are now essential} i had a t shirt on and a rain jacket, they gave us some bibs and sent us to work... ive never seen so many upper management in one place, and the place they wanted to stand is where we needed to stack sandbags... im not going in tomorrow and they owe me a pair of boots... 
if you look close you can see ripples about a foot from the darkness... this is shortly after high tide and the water had started to recede... (powers flickering) Edited by merc - 12 November 2009 at 6:44pm |

at the worst part last night my neighbor (across the street) had water 6" high on his gurage door... spent 2 hours stacking sand bags and bailing out water...
also the canal breached and flooded up to my gurage door... im sure my poor pontiac flooded at work :( i just hope i get a good hunk of change from my insurance company... im buying a jeep tomorrow... |
