Hey everyone im new here.  Just got my x7 phenom.  One of my buddies said he heard that there are a few recalls on the marker.  I personally havent heard any yet.  I was looking to upgrade my marker and was looking into a new barrel and scope.
I have the folding stock already and was looking  at Apex barrels.   Another options is the Flatline barrel.  I just dont know which one.  If its apex, which barrel?  As for scopes who knows?  I have a Pure Energy 90ci 4500 psi tank and was wondering if a remote coil would work with it...Sorry for all the noob questions.

I know of no "recalls". I actually haven't heard of any issues at all with the Phenom.

We tried: stock, Hammerhead, CP, X7, Flatline, Apex,  and some discount barrels.
The Hammerhead was the most consistant at any distance, followed by the CP, then stock.
The Flatline shot farther more consistant than the Apex, the Apex shot more consistant of the two closer.

Scopes are no good unless you buy mounts that will actually get the scope into usable position
with a mask on. If you like them great.

The remote will work perfectly. a 90/4500 should shoot more paint on one fill than most of us can afford. LOL

For Barrels I am real fond of the LAPCO bigshots, cheap and best acuracy for the buck. A lot of people match their paint to the barrel with Barrel inserts which does make a great different on groupings.

My best bud uses a Tippmann Straightline Barrel and it's dead on his X-7.HE Swears by it. Best bet is to see what paint your local area sells and find either a marker in that bore or get a Kit that has several inserts.

Remotes are a great way to get the tank off the gun, I use a Remote with a Slide Check, but they can be leak prone and require maintenance every season.
There is a Remote System called Pro-Connect that once you buy it and Install it on a Remote that's about it. I plan on picking one up before season. I know a lot of players that swear by them. PsyWorks makes the current run. Google them up.

Scopes are a personal thing, I dont feel they add more than "Looks" cool.

I agree with elvis there.  Lapco, HammerHead, and another of my favorites is the J&J.  I swear by them all.  As for the remote line part, if you are looking to run a remote another option is the pro-connect.  A teammate of mine uses it and loves it.  It has a featur ewhere you push a button and can disconnect from the marker without a slide check and it still stops the gas.  You will have to google where to buy it though.  Cant remember off the top of my head.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...
