Did it take 2 people to get the heat guards off
(we went to a local airforce base to do some BRM a few weeks ago, airforce instructor was teaching a dis/reassembly class. Said that we weren't going to wory about taking off the heat guards because "they are hard to get off and it takes 2 people.")

Mine's less expensive, and comes already built. I too will post Gun Pr0n come Monday when I pick it up.
In related news, I'm dumping the PSL-54C tomorrow. I finally realized that there's no real need for me to own a dedicated marksman weapon that is made for shooting things at 1,000 meters when there isn't a range longer than 100 meters around here. |

I can't fathom parting with anything that goes bang. Have you taken any blows to the head recently or skipped any doses? ;)

Well, for one thing my car has a bad ball joint that decided to rear its ugly head just after I pushed the "confirm payment" button on the M4gery order. So the $500-$600 or more that I should be able to recoup from the PSL will help offset the unforeseen costs. Furthermore, I've never been happy with the magazine fitting issues that the PSLs CAI imported tend to have. In short, each gun had 4 matching mags that were fit to it at the time of the build. CAI took all the mags, threw them in a big pile like they were going to play dominoes with them, and randomly assigned two non-matching mags to every firearm they sold. I think the next purpose-built marksman rifle I'll go for is a Yugo M-76. The bolt and carrier are stainless for one thing, and they're just generally put together better. |

Sorry to hear about your chef-mobile. I actually did get rid of a party favor once.
I got this Phoenix Arms .22 for free because it would barf the magazine after each shot. After making a new mag latch out of steel (not zinc), I put it up for adoption. I just didn't trust that it would hold together and not bounce the slide off my face. I have since found out that it has consumed more than a brick of .22 and still works great. I'm also refurbing my zombie gun.
I decided to finally clean the SKS and remove the cosmoline that it has been running on for 20 years. I'm also ditching the synthetic stock and going back to the wood one. I discovered that the accuracy drops off when you feed 10+ stripper clips through it and the plastic stock melts :( I just need to add @2" to the butt because I'm slightly taller than the average chicom. What? You mean Yao Ming isn't an average chicom?
Also, got the same money I paid for the PSL out of it, so I'm happy. I figure I pretty much got a free rifle for a year. =D |

You see, it was either me or the zombie milk jugs.....and I really don't think you can judge unless you've faced similiar circumstances... Shut-up. |

Fine, you going to loan me the hydraulic lift, press, and other tools needed to not only unspring the suspension, but press the old ball joint out and re-press the new one in? |
