Well, i'm off to watch the game. Wish me luck. Because, whether we win or lose, this town is going to be nothing short of a full-scale riot tonight. First Final Four for Morgantown since Jerry West played for WVU(If you REALLY don't know who Jerry West is, he's the guy on the NBA logo).. Gonna be nuts..

No, it would be really silly to get upset over something as trivial as a basketball game. No, actually last night was AWESOME, because after the game I was walking home(I live right downtown) and there were reporters everywhere and it was crazy. There was this one camera guy video taping the weirdest segment ever, and I walked right in the middle of it. Woot for being on tv. I love this town.
If anything, seeing such a stand up guy like DaSean Butler get hurt in his last game in a WVU jersey was much worse than the loss. This is the star basketball player, one of the best in the country, that upon hearing about a WVU fan that had a heart attack during the game last week but refused to let anybody take her to the hospital until after we had upset #1 Kentucky, went and visited her in the hospital on his own to thank her for supporting the team. I'm not a sports guy, but living in this city, you just have to love Mountaineer sports. We made it to the freakin' Final Four for crying out loud. Anybody that has experienced the circus that is Morgantown, WV knows exactly what i'm talking about. There's no place like this man.. Edited by Apu - 04 April 2010 at 4:03pm |
