I have not been to the forums in years However upon re-entering my past love i find a few things diffrent, you cannot any longer buy and sell
I also found this very unwelcomed post BELOW I will debunk each thing on this list. (like this)
To the Newbies:
There are certain ideas that will get you flamed and ridiculed.

These topics are:
Paintball Flame-throwers or paint-throwers(best application i have seen is a old fire extinguisher from 1970 that had a screw off top and a bicycle tire nipple to charge it. boiled down old feild paint 25' stream "AWESOME")
Paintball Shotguns (Rap4)
Rifled barrels(tippmann straight shot, armson, brass J&J
Paintball Minigun or chaingun (have you seen the hellhound?)
Paintball Missiles(egl-47 rounds, paintball grenades and vortex rockets)
Paint-knifes and bayonets (Damage inc pontiac michigan)
Silencers and supressors (tasco) and (air america for loudeners)
Bullet / Football-shaped paintballs (first strike rounds)
Tippmann Pistols (Tpx)

THE HELLHOUND IS NOT FOR SALE (Yes it is )

For starters, if I got sprayed with a paintball flamethrower, I would be p***ed.
Paintball shotguns - most fields don't allow it.  And how would you chrono it?
Rifled barrels - their theory is still debatable
Paintball minigun - who where actually has a working model of one (besides Tippmann)?  Most of the talk are "oh it would be so cool" and other newby comments about them.
Paintball Missles - The only one you listed that would actually apply is the mini vortex.
Paintball knifes / bayonets - if you get close enough to me to use it, then you deserve to use it.  If you try and fail, well, you deserve that too.
Silencers and suppressors - one word: illegal (without federal authority)
Bullet shaped rounds - the list was posted before the first strike round = needs updating
Tippmann pistols - again, the list needs updating

And you may be correct on the Hellhound, but can you provide a link or other source where it is for sale?

But, all in all, I see what you are trying to say.  You get an "E" for effort, bud.

Yeah, not quite.

Probably not allowed at most fields. Even if it was, it's definitely not practical.

Paintball Shotguns (Rap4)

That's a pump gun that resembles a shotty.  Nothing more. That, and is sucks. Shotguns shoot more than one ball at a time. Nasties and other doubles don't count.

Rifled barrels(tippmann straight shot, armson, brass J&J

Like Hubb said, these are still up for debate, and I doubt their practicality.

Paintball Minigun or chaingun (have you seen the hellhound?)

The Hellhound's gun is functional maybe 60% of the time. It's always had feeding problems, which is the bane of the minigun design.

Paintball Missiles(egl-47 rounds, paintball grenades and vortex rockets)

Vortexes don't count; they aren't "paint." The EGLs, well, once again I doubt their practicality.

Paint-knifes and bayonets (Damage inc pontiac michigan)

C'mon. Everyone knows that DI is slightly unstable...

Silencers and supressors (tasco) and (air america for loudeners)

Those would be mock silencers. Real silencers are illegal, and will get a thread locked.

Bullet / Football-shaped paintballs (first strike rounds)

You're only legitimate point. Honestly though, when these came out, they blindsided everyone. No one expected them to work as good as they do. Of course, the same issues discussed in all the other "bullet" threads apply. It's hard to feed them, and they are very expensive.

Tippmann Pistols (Tpx)

These guns have a long way to go before they are playable. Good concept though.

THE HELLHOUND IS NOT FOR SALE (Yes it is )

I wouldn't be surprised, but I agree: I'd like to see proof.

So yeah, I took the trollin' bait. But I'm bored.

One thing, The Tippmann Tpx pistol; With the new fixes, this gun is VERY playable. I own one and LOVE it. it is consistent, reliable, feels great and works wonderfully! The Fixes I mentioned are the 7 shot Tru feed mags. They are a straight load, not staggered. this means less pressure on the balls so you can use lower quality paint without breaks. Also they updated the Co2 cap. its now adjustable to all co2 sizes. Now you can puncture any cartridge without problem. Its a great gun and I love it!

awilli, I think you've missed the point, which is, most of this stuff is either illegal (and, yes, silencers are illegal in ALL states without a permit), not allowed at fields, or not practical.  With that said, that is probably the reasons the mods don't want us to talk about them.

But there is always the other option:  If you don't like the rules here, go somewhere else.

I have seen it. Once again, not practical. It probably weighs too much, and as I recall, Tippmann Ordnance was originally created for training simulations, and no field would let those through. Even if they did, I can't see them as being practical.

I know what the cRAP4 shotgun is. It's a pump gun that looks like a shotgun. That is NOT a paintball shotgun. Plus, they are built to TERRIBLE quality.

Do you have a rifled barrel? I do when i have trouble with bad paint Thats when i use them.

Yes. I have used a Hammerhead. They are great barrel kits, and they are great people to deal with, but they perform similarly to any other barrel kit, not better than.

Not even gonna touch the suppressor comment...

I accept your opinions without anger or judgment. I put this post here to push a few bully's forwards

you have missed my point, where do we draw the line to others creativity?
Silencers = K got that /laws being in place and all- it was part of a post i felt was unjust and limited creativity....there are loopholes.

Paintball as i recall, at one point in time was trying to make markers that looked nothing at all like guns. weve strayed far from that path.

Don't let someone stifle your enthusiasm. It's not a matter of if something can be done. It is a matter of how much time, effort and money your willing to put into a idea.

look at the pinnokio hopper that dude was drilling out egg hoppers at first and melting on pods.
Hell the guys on my team are imbedding 5mm fans in there mask and creating all manner of things.
such as 2000 round hoppers and up..

I think that close contact in the sport of paintball should be avoided. angers flare and fist fights break out. (not good)

also look up FN-303 it's been around for 10 years and suddenly it's rounds are released as first strike rounds.

last but not least Why for the love of god would i make a thread titled stirring up trouble if i didn't want to do just that?

I'm sure others will blather on after i place what i plan to be the last post in this thread. let them. I'll find something else to put my time into.

I see you're point, and offer a counter-point. The thread you are trying to defame is intended to get people to stop telling TIPPMANN to make these things. No one is trying to stifle anyone's creativity, take it from me.

But why would you be "stirring up trouble" then back out of it?  You wanted the responses and you got them.  What gives?

Here's a link to the actual Tippmann Ordinance site.  Note the large blue letters that specify "Military Law Enforcement Mout Special Operations."  Also note the first sentence of the first paragraph which is shown below:

Originally posted by website website wrote:

Tippmann Ordnance Company Inc (TOC) Training Aid Devices are deployed by the US Department of Defense and other Federal, State and local Law Enforcement Agencies.

Note also the absence of any mention of recreational paintball use.  This is because Tippmann Ordinance does not design products for commercial use.

Heres the shotgun

Here's a link to the description of the RAP68 Tactical Shotgun.  Note the excerpt below from this description.

Originally posted by shotgun description shotgun description wrote:

It is a "shotgun" in name and appearance only.  It still shoots a single .68 caliber paintball with each pump and pull of the trigger.  (It is essentially an overpriced, under-performing spring-fed pump gun.

Do you have a rifled barrel? I do when i have trouble with bad paint Thats when i use them.

This comment makes no sense at all.  I take bad paint to mean either brittle, swollen, or dimpled.  With brittle or swollen paint the narrowing of the bore caused by the rifling increases the risks of barrel breaks.  With dimpled paint adding a spin to the instability already caused by the dimpling would only decrease velocity accuracy more.

I'd also like to point out that only one study that I know of has ever shown a rifled barrel to be more accurate than a non-rifled one.  The study was done many years ago on the original Armson rifled barrels and concluded (through stop-motion photography) that the additional accuracy was not due to spin as the balls weren't spinning.

Hellhound is for sale @ hellsurvivors playfeild / exotic sports
10,000

How about a link to the actual sale page?  I did a general internet search and perused the Hell's Survivors website without any luck in locating the Hellhound for sale.

Also the EGL mabe by tippmann can shoot just about anything you can stuff it with such as 30 paintballs in tissue

That's nice, it's also made by Tippmann Ordinance which means it is not for recreational use.

The suppressor is only not allowed in 3 states. I don't want to get modded down so we will leave it at that.

Paintball suppressors are for looks only.  Here is a link for the Lapco Fake Suppressor.  Note it specifies "fake" right in the description.  (I would have linked to a Tasco suppressor but was unable to find them mentioned on the internet.)  Furthermore silencers/suppressors fall under federal firearms law.  While some state laws are more restrictive than the federal law the federal law as a minimum still requires that anyone building a silencer, even for a paintball or air gun follow the proper procedures.  The following excerpt is from Wikipedia:

Originally posted by Wiki Wiki wrote:

The USD 200.00 buys a tax stamp, which is the legal document allowing possession of a suppressor.

But...

Dude, like I said before, no one is stifling people's creativity. No one is calling people a n00bz0rz for coming up with ideas. People get a hard time for not searching, and telling Tippmann to produce their "wonderful, original ideas." If you can make something like a bayonet, have at it. I encourage. I myself am a gun hoarder/collector/tinkerer, etc. I've done some stupid stuff and came up with crazy ideas. However, your point is only a tangent to the purpose of the original thread...

It's nice (albeit slightly pretentious and a little annoying) that you are trying to play knight in shining armor, but you missed the point of the thread you are commenting on.
