Got REACH this am, pretty same same so far, same basic weapons, same Covenent just differant missions. The Team concept is good, all not up to you, your movements trigger what they do. So far still mission 1, fun kills time, and right now that is mission 1 for me.

So I got about twenty minutes into the single player, and I'll admit, not being a fan of the Halo series single player in the least, Bungie really put some heart into this game. Haven't touched multiplayer.

I haven't played it, and I don't think I want to. ODST was crap IMHO. Excluding my n64 days, halo was the game I grew up on, and it seems like bungee stopped caring about halo, and started caring about the money instead. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't want halo ruined for me.

SO far not super impressed. Your AI teammates never die, and you can get them to move in front as your shield easy enough. Just simple overwhelm them with your invincibles firepower an pick out the stragglers. Hope it gets better, need to look into multiplayer as soon as we a group together.

If anything, the Single Player is worth it just to make up for the godawful mess that was ODST. Really polished stuff. I think I prefer this team to Master Chief. |

I played single player for a few hours, and I do like it so far.
My biggest gripe is the NPC's still cant drive or use a warthog. Its like ordering chinese food. My strategy at this point is drive up to wherever the enemy is, get out, then use the turret. Otherwise I try to move up and do the whole thing on foot. While I tried doing this once, my NPC homies decided to run the other direction and I havent seen them for an hour of gametime.

I like Halos 1, 2 and 3, if only because they kept the story up. I never played ODST or Wars, because I was under the impression neither followed MC, and didn't know this one didn't till I watched a teaser video for it.
Probably won't get it. |
