The Big Picture's collection of the massive toxic spill in Hungary.
Some pretty epic and sad photos in there. I guess the sludge is gunk from making aluminum. I don't know what was expecting, but I always figured toxic gunk was stored in a better way than what looks like a glorified above-ground swimming pool.  |

The Big Picture is one of their most-clicked things on their site too. It's a money-maker for them, and it's just one person putting together high-res wire photos. An amazing and simplistic idea. (I wish I'd have thought of it). |
