I am so incredibly happy.

The GOP has control of the house. We are closer to no longer having to listen to people whine about democrats and liberals(I hope).
Que pasa?

While this should probably just go in the "politics" thread, I'll post this here since it is a voting thread essentially:

Congratulations to all of the Republicans that won, and are now in charge of the House. Deep down in my soul, the fan of having different parties in charge of different things in government is smiling.

I hope that bipartisanship and level-headed debate can win the hour.

True.

Now we get to listen to butthurt Democrats white that the Republicans are blocking their every valiant effort, and in the end will blame this majority win just like they continue to blame Bush for their own failings.

Pick your poison I guess. In the end, politics is a blame game, and I hold illusions of dignity on the part of either side. The only thing more retarded than the bickering on both sides of the fence is pretending that one side doesn't indulge in it. Not aimed at Jmac BTW, before that's said. Just an observation.

And Whale, I couldn't agree more. The US political system finds moderation in the conflict between two extremes, and when that balance isn't achieved, you get runaway governments like we've been seeing over the past decade or so.

Lets keep politics in the politics thread.

That saves the forum from tons of whining and bickering about other members.
