We had our first snowstorm in about 7 1/2 years today. Around a foot of snow to shovel off our driveway. Should be an interesting winter because so far its been up and down from like 40* down to the 20*s. Anyone else having "fun" with the winter this year?

Hell yeah! I'm loving this year. I bought a new snowboard and a seasons pass to one of the local hills. I've been up twice and the snow is incredible both in quantity and quality. Very very happy

That's exactly why I'm not a big fan of the mid-seasons. It's too cold to go enjoy outside, but theres no snow to go snowboarding etc. I'll be going up the hill a lot this season, so I should have photos to post someday. |

I saw a couple of guys skiing and snowboarding in the last week.
In the city. Apparently this guy lived up a hill from where he wanted to be. He'll have been pissed off on his way home but it made me a bit happier. We're currently getting overnight temps of about -12*c and a foot maybe foot and a half of snow. The M8 (Scotland's busiest motorway) has been at a standstill for hours. Lots of people stranded on the road even now. I don't understand why we are so bad at dealing with snow. It does this every year. Edited by scotchyscotch - 07 December 2010 at 12:01am |
