I really like the realism of bad company, and I LOVE how large the maps are, but you lose the fast paced shoot-em-up feel from COD. Also, there's nothing quite like the feeling when you prestige for the final time.

I'll never know. I don't see the point in prestige.
As far as your question, buy both. There's no real comparison between the two, other than being military FPS's with leveling systems. Otherwise, the gameplay is almost completely different. I spend more time with Black Ops personally, but I'll probably load up BC 2 for the new Viet Nam expansion.

Trick question.
Modern Warfare 2 is still better than both of them. Edited by usafpilot07 - 03 January 2011 at 7:20pm |

Yes, realism. If I shoot a building with a grenade launcher, there remains a giant hole in the wall. When sniping across a map, I have to account for bullet drop. although to be fair, the whole "knife that cuts down doors and fences" is a bit much

It may be more realistic than cod. But its still FAR from anything which could be called realistic. |

I wouldn't call BC 2 more realistic...just more tactical.
I think the closest you'll get to realism on the 360 is Op Flashpoint.

I am going to go with Black ops on this one, except I haven't gotten to play the Vietnam expansion on Battle Field yet so that may be a game changer.

I picked up BC2 during the Steam Christmas sale. So far its alright, but nothing that I haven't played before other than the extremely destructible surroundings. Haven't played Black-Ops yet, but I figure its just another CoD, right? Good game, much better after a year or so when the idiots move on to another "must have" game and 90% of the griefers and hackers have gone.
Oh, and if you don't have TF2 (and we're talking PC here), put a second write in for TF2. I always keep that game loaded, its my personal gaming equivalent to leaving the tv on the Cooking Channel or the Science Channel because there is nothing I want to watch. There's going to be something interesting happen if I leave it there long enough. Edited by Dazed - 04 January 2011 at 9:56am |
