A-5 recocking problems

I have a stock a-5 and when I fire, the bolt will not recock. I have already bought a new valve and power tube, but that has not helped. do I need new o-rings or a new gas line?? I am running CO2. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!!

Do you have a stock on your A5?  Sometimes the hole that the drive spring goes into on the stock is to deep so there is not enough tension on the drive spring for it to recock.  If this is the problem you can put a BB or ball-bearing into the hole.  Also, I had problems with metal power tubes that I got for my 98C and it would fire a couple of times, but would always have to recock eventually.

Are you positive that you have CO2 in the tank?

I do not have a stock on the A-5. I just mean all original parts. So no metal power tube or upgraded bolt. Yes I am positive I have are in the tank. I have tried several just filled tanks but no luck. Thanks for all the help so far, any more suggestions would be great.

p.s. I just found my a-5 parts kit and have replaced both the front and back bolt o-rings. Still no luck.

Don't quote me on this.  Wait for approval for what I am going to say from a guy in the forum that has good experience in guns.  Maybe the drive spring has too much tension.  Is the spring a stock spring?

If the marker has been disassembled/reassembled, check that the ball detent was installed facing in the correct direction.

The ball detent is in the correct direction. I always have to double check that. X7Man, what do you mean by drive spring? Is that the one in the back of the gun in the back bolt, or the one that is attached to the cocking handle? I replaced the spring that is with the cocking handle, but it is a factory replacement. The bolt spring is the original one, but it still looks like it is in fine shape. As always thanks for the replys and the more suggestions the better! thanks.

The bolt spring in the rear bolt.

Give Tippmann a call.  I talked to Cory and he was very helpful.

They have toll free number so whats to lose.

Try loosening the body bolts very slightly.
