What is a tank hydro? What do you have to do when you reach that date?

Hydro is short for Hydrostatic testing. It means you need to get your tank pressure tested, so that it can be recertified to be transported and refilled.
Steel tanks need to be tested every 5 years, carbonfiber tanks vary, and you should check the DOT or Travel Canada websites. A field should not fill you tank if its out of date. Testing costs around $30, and your local store should be able to send it out for you.
