Good Day all;
I have an older (7-8 years) 98 Custom that I want to upgrade. Essentially I want to install a Cyclone Feeder. Question is: Do I need to get an electronic hopper or is the stock gravity feed hopper sufficient. The field I play on is a "1 pull - 1 ball" field. No auto or semi auto guns are allowed. Ty for your input.

Well if that field is all you play on, then the gravity hopper would be just fine.

The Cyclone feed is a hopper system, it does not increase your rate of fire. If you got a Cyclone, you would not need an electronic hopper. It's one or the other. And truthfully, like X7 is saying, a gravity fed hopper should keep up with a semi auto Tippmann. Gravity fed hoppers feed up to 5-6 balls/second, you would be hard pressed to outshoot it with a stock 98. Edited by oldpbnoob - 03 February 2011 at 3:19pm |
