To pull me away from my beloved Les Paul...

From the Blacktop Tele (a humbucking Telecaster with body cutouts) to the new Pawn Shop series (a humbucking semi-hollow Strat set up like a Telecaster), it feels like Fender is sticking their dirty little fingers into my brain and producing EXACTLY what I've been wanting...

Thread worthy? Most definitely.

A:) Screw you, now I want that damn Pawn Shop. Yer killin me wallet sir LOL

The Blacktop line is awesome. They come with a great setup straight out of the box, the only thing I'll tell you is that, if you decide to buy one, do yourself a favor and invest in a new set of pickups the day you order / buy it. The pickups are only mediocre. I put an Alnico (Slash's pickup) in my neck position and love it, and a Pearly Gates (ZZ Top) in the bridge position and hate it. I'll probably pick up another Alnico or go with something alot hotter later on. It's kind of hit and miss with pickups, those guitars "interpret" pickups different than any other Fender I've ever played. The bridge position is REALLY twangy, and the PG did nothing to eliminate that.

That said, the best play I've gotten in a factory axe hands down, and I get alot of guitar players asking me about the color (Sonic Blue).
