Ok so i was cleaning my tippmann a5 one day and what i though was paint right below the rear sight was actually were the paint is starting to chip off.  It less then quarter of the size of my pinky finger but its pissing me off because i dont want to paint to start chipping.  Is it possible to fix this or is there a way to make it will stop flaking off.
Its not that i think stuipidity should be punishable by death, i just think we should take the warning labels off of things and let the problem handle itself.

well the stock powercoat should be pretty hard to chip so usually it wont just all start to flake off..the only thing i can think of to preserve your stock paint is getting some good clear coat, taking everything out of the shells and give it some coats of clear. although your gun will have a bit more of a shine to it after.

Yah its not ALL chipping off it just a little spot below the rear sight which i made worse by craping with my knife.  Can you explain this clear coat stuff a little more. I dont want to go covering my entire marker in some gunk because of a microscopic paint chip.
