Here’s what just happened in the last 30 minutes.

  • My new Tippmann A-5 with Selector switch E-grip was assembled and paintballs were added into the hopper.
  • I screwed in my CO2 tank as far as it could go.
  • I went outside with the paintball marker and prepared my targets
  • I  turned on the selector switch E-grip.
  • For a reason I don’t know, my marker began to continually fire (the safety was on and I didn’t pull the trigger) until the entire tank was empty.

Now, I do not remember cocking the A-5 at the top of the marker, and I thought the CO2 tank was securely attached. Whenever I cocked the marker, it continued to fire with the tiny bit of air that it thought it had. The CO2 tank was filled today, but I didn't think it was that.

What on Earth happened? Will someone please tell me what occurred, or if there was something I forgot? I really need someone’s assistance.

As per the instructions, cock the marker prior to screwing the CO2 tank on.

I re-read the instructions and found it. Thank you very much, that's probably something that I should have thought of...
