    Posted: 21 June 2011 at 11:55pm

Well, just spent the last 48 hours moving out of my new appartment in downtown Minot due to more manditory evacuations. Im at work right now, and just met the CNN crew that is here to cover the flooding. Im sure you guys will hear about it at some point. they are saying 10ft above the current level (crest is 1663 as of right now, a record level for the area), which is right at the top of the dykes. They are sayin the dykes are about to break, they are sayin that the sirens will likely sound before the mandatory 6pm evac tomorrow. here is a link to a lot of the information and they stay pretty up to date with pictures and stuff. Im gonna be helping again like I have been for the last month, its been keeping me goin. Glad I can help others. Sorry if iv been rambling, iv been up for 48 hours straight, and im sure il be goin for a while longer tonight.

That's really unfortunate man. The flooding this year just won't stop.

If there is any way I can help, PM me or Facebook.com/Jeffrey.Kyle.Riley

Right now I just woke up to the sirens, the river just overtopped the dyke 5 hours early. Im getting all my gear on quick and going to help reinforce the infastructure before we cant make it there anymore. I have chills and everything. Everything is just so depressing. Impulse, they are talking to FEMA about individuial assistance, but right now its just your standard crap. Whale, thanks man. Im sure you have seen my FB posts about all of it. Not sure what ways there are to help at this point, but just the thought means a lot. Time to get to work. Wish me luck guys.

Can someone explain the reason for needing a **edited** load of rocks, at the dam?

This Fort Peck thing is very interesting. The Corps of Engineers keeps reporting the dam level is dropping. But there are conflicting reports saying more water is entering the reservoir, than water that is getting let out.

Seems odd neither CNN or Fox has up to date news on this situation.

I hope Ammo and everyone are okay. Anyone know the situation?

Also, it's weird that North Dakota of all places is experiencing flooding like this when Texas is going through a 9-10 month drought. Anyone taking bets on how soon a hurricane comes through and washes all the topsoil away?

On the topic of hurricanes.

I have a strong feeling we see a Cat5 hurricane. Jeez with the year we have had already maybe even two of them. Dead

Yeah, water levels have been dropping, we crested at about 9  1/2' above street level. A few schools are gonna need to be repaired, Ramsted Middle School will need to be gutted and redone from scratch. Lots of housing damage. I still need to get pics of the dikes around the main road before they come down, they are litteraly 15' high. Things are slowly dieing down, but we still have a lot of work to do....

Thinking about you guys. Let me know if there's anything we can do.

Unfortunately the real work begins once the disaster goes away. Ouch

Yeah, there are 8 big servpro trailers in town, Tide brought their loads of hope trailer, plus a ton of contractors from out of state. As of right now its looking like 4100 damaged or destroyed homes.

It is unthinkable that area in a flood plain would, well, flood.

Yeah, you would think that when they built in a valley with a river in it they would have taken it into consideration.

My appartment is gone, I got my rent back from the guy and im just living with my parents on top of north hill past the airport. Iv been helping my friend demo their basement and everything else. Pics:

Its been crazy, im moving to Williston on Aug 20, so I wont be dealing with the boil order and everything anymore.

Edit: Oh, and the demo was done with:
1x Hardhat
1x Steel Toe Boots
1x Pipe Wrench
1x Leather Gloves

It was one of those nights.
