98 platinum series buttstock trouble

   I put in an adjustable butt stock for the gun but the receiver won't go back on all

The way.  I looked t up and did everything correctly but it don't. Work. I tried to put it on my plain 98 custom and it dot fit either :/ plz help here's he stock
