The other day when I went paintballing with my a5, I noticed that my shots where flying all over the place! They were veering madly to the left and right, and I have got no idea why! It means that all my shots are extremely inaccurate at anything over 30ft.
My a5 is only a month old and completely stock except for a 14" brass barrel, but that's not the problem because its the same with my stock barrel. I took it completely apart and cleaned it out and lubed some parts and put it back together, and its still shooting all over the place? Does anyone know why this is and how it can be helped? |

What is it chronographed for? Is the paint old and have dimples on them? What is your gas? CO2 or HPA?

I'm using C02, the paints pretty good, works well with my brothers gun. I'm shooting at around 280/300 fps.

Are you using the same brand/make of paint as you did the last time you had fired it?

Have you had a ball break in the hopper or barrel? Have you cleaned and lubed recently? Dempled balls can also cause curving as well as uneven friction inside the barrel which can be caused by damage to the barrel or liquid (paint or excess lube) on the balls. Try looking down your barrel with a light to see if there are imperfections. If not buy better paint and watch for breaks.

I would add this. take one of your barrels off the gun and drop some paintball through it. The in a perfect world, the paintballs should get slightly stuck in the barrel and push on through with a puff of air from your mouth. If they are getting stuck hard in the barrel, then the paintballs are too big. This is also a good way to see if your paintballs are round. The inside of the barrel is round; your paintballs will always be less round.
