Ive currently bought myself my first paintball gun and went all out and bought a p salvo with all the accessorys i need. but there is one thing i want to bring to the field, that im trying to create using my noggin, and maybe some other ideas that are out there. Im trying to create a grenade launcher that will shoot either water balloons or even professional paint grenades. Now the rules on the fields that i play here in texas say they cant go any faster than 130 ft per second which is ok with me but id at least like to launch this thing 8-10 feet from where i stand. Im currently starting from scratch and want to make my own because i have seen aftermarket ones like the RAP4 grenade that shoots in my opinion like a masterkey would, off of a underbarrel kit. but instead of doing that id like to launch a grenade either using a sling shot idea or using the current CO2 canister that is being used to fire my gun. If there is any fans out there that would love to help me out on this project i would be more than happy to listen. by the way i am a welder and will be creating this launcher out of aluminum for those that need to know that. Take care and god bless YALL

Where exactly would you like to have it shoot from if not from under the barrel? Anything on top would be in the way i would imagine so your left with the sides. a slingshot off the sides would be iffy because your running the risk of it falling out of the launcher. If you could build some sort of grenade launcher mounting it to the side on a rail of a barrel shroud or something could work. The cyclone uprgade and response trigger uprgrade both use "excess" C02 to operate so you could connect something to the line and use your same tank, but it might be very tricky to set up.

Also what exactly did you want it to shoot? The only paint grenades that I know of are so hit and miss that when thrown half the time they do nothing so i wouldnt spend the time setting up something to shoot them and then have them do nothing. the water balloon is easy enough, but besides a slingshot im not sure how you would launch them without breaking them.

There used to be a system for launching water balloon style grenades that treated them like a saboted round.  The balloons were kept in a cardboard tube held together by a rubber band.  The rubber band was removed during loading and the cardboard opened and fell away upon launching; basically staying with the balloon just long enough to protect it from the stresses associated with the launch.

If you are just having trouble posting pictures of your blueprints all you have to do is use an image hosting website to post your pictures on here, something like imageshack, tinypic, photobucket, etc.
