I opened up my Tippmann 98 custom the other day and of course everything flew all over the place.  All of my trigger pins, sear, and sear spring went everywhere.  I picked them all up and tried to put it all back together, which I did.  I plugged in my air tank and cocked the gun to fire a test shot.  The trigger pulled, the gun uncocked itself, and the ball stayed in the marker.  I pointed the barrel towards the ground and the ball rolled out.  What would cause this sort of thing to happen and how can I fix it?  Do I need to adjust the sear spring or something?

Thanks in advance!

Pull the bolt back and engage the sear (without the bolt spring, just do it by hand and then take a picture. It currently looks right to me.

Can you cock it back when you put it together?

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

The gun cocks and I can pull the trigger like normal.  When I put my compressed air tank on, it is almost like the air tank isnt connected.  I don't hear any leaks or anything and the tank is screwed on all the way.  It makes a small hiss when I screw it on and off.

Here are the pictures you asked for:

Make sure your ball detent isn't in backwards.   Make sure your quide pin that goes inside the drive spring is inserted into the end cap & not in backwards.
