It's cheesy, but I like Badass by Saliva at the start of my runs. Also, Sound of Madness.

Running is the only time I listen to that genre of music though, so A)I don't know if it would work for rucking and B)My knowledge of that type of music is really lacking.

It worked for Rocky

Edit: I decided to be serious. I don't run, but if I did this song would be playing as I did it....

I haven't listened to them since A Beautiful Lie, but my girlfriend likes them. I can see them being good workout music -- every one of their songs is a soundtrack to the epic final battle of an action movie.

Whale. There's a reason your GF likes them. Jared Letto (or however you spell his last name). An ex of mine liked them too. He was the only reason why.

This.

I don't get it though. He's good looking but a complete doucher even by actor / musician standards. Their only decent song was "The Kill" in my opinion.

As far as working out, I don't listen to drastically different music when I do. I still keep the pretty relaxed blues stuff. Right now I'm still on a Pink Floyd rampage so I usually crank up PULSE or David Gilmour's Gdansk album (if you've never heard the Gdansk version of "Where We Start" you've never heard truly beautiful blues guitar. YouTube it.)

Motivational you say? How about Excellent Horse-Like Lady by North Korea's very own Hyon Song-wol. Her music inspires the masses of the DPRK to fulfill their quotas, even exceeding their output projection (as shown in the video!)

Seriously though, even though I can't understand what's being "sung" I can tell it's pure dreck. Also, she's the new fearless leader's numba one gal.

Youtube, "Always look on the Bright Side of Life" Monty Python's The Life of Brian. I always find that song very motivational.
