Well under specifactions it says capable gasses: HPA. However, it does say Co2 Capable:
not sure if colon means a yes or no goes there or that it is just a typo

It's going to run better off of HPA, especially when firing high volumes of paint. But you can run it off of either. Especially if you run and anti-siphon CO2 tank in which case you'd see little to no difference between the air sources.
