Hello everyone I am new to the site and was hoping to find some help for my X7.

I upgraded from my old A5 to the phenom. I was looking for an after market barrel and was told the A5 barrel would fit on the X7. I am currently using a 16" J&J barrel. It screws into the X7 but when fired the bolt gets stuck inside of the barrel. When holding the two barrels together the J&J has less threads and a longer base shaft. I called a few paint ball stores to order the correct barrel and was told by all that there was one barrel for both guns. I called Tippmann and they told me that there were different barrels. I am having a really hard time finding a barrel that specifies just X7 phenom. Most or all say A5/X7. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not really sure on how to post pictures, but if you email me I can send them to you.

I ran across the same problem quite some time back with J&Js switching between 68 Carbine and the A5.  Try using a tank o-ring as a spacer on the barrel.

Adding a O ring to the barrel back seems to have given it just enough space to allow the bolt not to get wedged!..Tested it briefly seems to dry fire OK. The real test will be after a case a paint!?... Looks hopeful though!! Clap
