A-5 barrel thread help?

   Hello I am new to the forms, but not to paintball. But anyways, I am a high school machining student trying to make my own barrel. The barrel has been CNC'ed already and all I need is a thread size. But I have this main question:

Is tippmann threads metric or standard and what is its size?

I've seen that on the internet it says 7/8-20 UNF is the size, but I am unsure and so is my instructor. I want to make sure it is right as this is my final project for the class and can't afford a mess- up. A second opinion would be appreciated.
