I've just picked up some markers for my son, stepson and myself to use, a couple of A5s and a 98 Custom.  I noticed a small air leak around the piece that screws into the tombstone adapter (at least that's where I hear it), replaced the O-ring, tried a remote line and still have the leak.  When you first screw the tank on it doesn't leak but when you fire once it starts to leak.  I'm pretty sure it'll be an easy fix but I figured someone on here knows what's going on...
What's a good barrel upgrade for a 98?  I know that paint and ball fps can affect accuracy but overall what barrels have folks been using that seem to shoot straight.

Thanks in advance!

Great choice as both are rugged workhorses. I haven't used my A5 in over a year as I am now sporting a Phenom X7 but I had a similar problem that I solved only when I put two o-rings at the tombstone assembly. You may want to review this video directly from Tippmann itself regarding common leaks.

With regard to barrel choice, if you talk to 20 people you will get 20 answers.

Bore matching will determine how efficient and accurate your marker will be, but this is also dictated by the paint. Better quality paint will be better. I just threw out however 2 bags (1000 paintballs) of high quality GI SPortz paint because I left them alone too long and the weight of the balls on top, caused the paint below to get dimpled.

IMHO accuracy is a misnomer in our hobby/sport. To me accuracy is defined as being able to hit the same area shot after shot.

My field uses .680 caliber paint and when I tried my RAP4 rifled .680 barrel I had a lot of barrel breaks and no real change. Barrel length is also an issue. To me the best length is between 9 to 14 inches. Anything less you are not giving the paintball enough time to stabilize it's flight and any more you are causing air flow inefficiency. I am currently using a Lapco Big Shot Assault (.687 bore, 10 inch length) and I am happy with the results.
