The forum needs more threads and I love christmas seasonal beers.
What are your go-to Christmas beers, if any? I'm a yuge fan of Shiner Holiday Cheer. It tastes subtly of peaches and pecans. It's holidayish enough to remind you but not overwhelming like most hipster craft beers. I want to try Coors Winterfest, but I dont live in Colorado. |

Well, I DO live in Colorado, so I may give it a try. Problem being, there are craft breweries on every block where I live, so I just don't want to waste my time on big box brews. As for my current favorite, Avery Old Jubilation is a good ale. I tend to be a stout fan, though, and there are enough seasonal stouts that I just don't want to pick a favorite...

All I really drink anymore is Rolling Rock. It goes with all seasons.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale is my favorite Christmas time beer. Mad elf is pretty good too. In the winter I gravitate towards porters and stouts and darker and heavier beers.

Saranac used to do this 12 pack for winter that had a caramel porter that was awesome as well as other great dark and hearty beers, but they replaced it with a bunch of hopp-y crap years ago.

AGREED. I can't stand "vague fruit and lawn clippings" as a taste profile...
