The first mod should always be the barrel, it will make the biggest difference in how the gun performs. I have a flatline on my A5, and it works very well.
The rt is a good setup, but I put an e-grip on mine. It's more expensive, but it is easier to install and operate. Also, it has light pull to it, and there is no need to sweetspot it.

If you can get a Flatline for under $100 - more power to ya!
I like my RT. I play at fields that allow them. I don't play tourneys. I don't buy batteries!

The sky darkens. In the distance you can hear the roar of the A-5. You shudder for you know it soon will be here.

The first thing you need is a barrel. Maybe not the flatline, do some
research and think about what kind of game you'll be playing the most
and buy a barrel according to that. But if you are set on the flatline no
matter what then buy that, It's still a good barrel. Have fun!!!!

First of all, you must know that there are different companies other than TIppmann who make upgrades for the gun.
For the barrel, I suggest a Lapco Bigshot. Its only around $50,and its very accurate.
