for more accuracy:      Good, fresh, non deformed paint

·        Paintballs without paint spill on them

·        Clean paintballs

·        Velocity not too high-280 FPS is good

·        Clean barrel

·        No spurs in barrel

·        Good Paint To Barrel Bore match

i hate paintball

DO NOT GET THE HYPER-STAR BOLT! yes indeed it increases accuracy but it makes your velocity go way down. just stick with the stock bolt.

if you're running co2 get an xchamber. i wasnt shootn' accurate at all and i thought it was my barrel then the guy at the shop said i could be having velocity spikes and to try an xchamber. i tried it and have been shooting straight on ever since.

also if you have the money switch over to nitro, its alot more consistent and u get more shots out of your tank.

another way to improve ur accuracy is to buy quality paintballs; not the cheap  u get at wal-mart!

good luck!!

From what I have heard from mods, its better to stay with your stock internals!

As stated above, I think the paint is most critical with the Flatline - the
rounder the better
Remember, the barrel "grabs" the paint and spins it. An off round
paintball will get a bit wacko.

I can also tell you that I had the Tippmann expansion chamber on my A5
and it helped. BUT when I added the Palmer stabilizer it was a BIG
increase in shot to shot accuracy due to the pressure regulation.

I just bought the starfire bolt but haven't installed it yet. Should be
interesting. I've heard differrent stories on what it does to fps. We'll see.

weird thing i found out, u want accuracy lol, try the stock barrel,... i did this at the field bcuz my flatline got some paint and i didnt wanan miss the next game, so i took my stock barrel out and put it on, it shoots pretty good, but wait theres more, i took some electrical tape and wrapped it around the holes on the barrel to seal them up, and wow.. its like a new barrel, its on targer and i have more range. just from pluggin up the holes !!!, isnt it amazing what u can do with a stock barrel and some tape, anyone try this yet?... its  a great speedball barrel....

Taping the porting will NOT give you more range. The extra rang eyou THOUGHT you got was caused by the increase of the velocity.

If you had your stock barrel normal, chrono'd it, measured about where the ball landed, and then did the same to the taped one, they would be the same.

To get better accuracy out of your A-5, you should get:

1) quality paint (like marballizer)
2) buy a regulator designed for C02 and HPA (Palmer Stabilizer)
3) HPA tank

You will see the most improvement with those 3 upgrades. All the other stuff increases your accuracy insignificantly.

The HPA will give your better consistency over your FPS, because there won't be any velocity spikes like those that are caused by liquid C02 entering your marker. The regulator will help better control both C02 and HPA pressure as it enters your marker. Which will lead to more FPS consistency.

The quality paint will roll through the barrel better than the el cheapo brands.

Hyperstarr bolt from proteam.

i got it and it increased my accuracy a lot and i had less breaks, I had the flatline for the 98c.

but i did notice a little velocity drop, not much though.

I'm selling my 98, but took out the hyperstarr bolt and put it in my a5 because i liked it so much

A-5 w/ e-grip, DOP VA, ACI subzero expansion chamber, RVA, 14in bigshot

And tricked out 98C( getting rid of to pay for expensive but alsome A-5)
