 Topic: J&J, or lapco big shot

I've heard both. I play woodsball mostly. i've heard the lapco is too
loud, but also ive heard that the performance is better. noise doesn't
really bother me if the performance gain is big enough.

Performance difference is not really noticeable and the lapco is extremely loud compaired to the jj. You could also look into a Smart Parts Teardrop which is both quiet and very accurate[$45]

Defineatly the big shot, 14' bead blasted of course,
- It's sexy
- MAD, I mean MAD accurate
- Long range, WAY further than the stock barrel (and thats not sayin' much anyways, but you know.. lol)
- Good Price
- And uh... did I mention it's sexy?

ok, i hate when people think so and so barrel has better distance. geeeeeeeeer by now you would think everyone would know that the flatline is the only barrel made in the universe that adds distance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly. Your gun will be heard no matter how well the barrel silences the shot. The 98 is louder than most guns and even with the quietest barrel it will still be able to be heard from within its firing range. Think of it this way, the farthest you'll be shooting at a person without the flatline is like 75 feet and at that distance you can still hear the shooters voice without them shouting at the top of their lungs. The gun will make more noise than their voice so therefore, it will be heard by the target. There's no way you'll silence it enough that the other guy won't hear it and be able to locate you, at least not with current (or legal) paintball technology. I own both barrels and I'd say that the sound difference isn't much really, the difference in accuracy is probably greater and even that is slim. The bigshot is slightly more accurate than the ceramic and makes about the same noise as far as I can tell. Also, the ceramic doesn't seem to shoot clean any better than the bigshot despite claims from many people. I've tried shooting the barrel clean and it doesn't work too well. I'd personally rather have a bigshot.

When paint starts flying Noise doesn't become a Factor... and using a Silencer is not the Brightest idea either...

I say get the J&J because.....i have one.....
Just playing i do have a J&J but i also have tried a bigshot. I so NO diference at all in the barrels and they are right the J&J doesnt clean itself despite the interior of the barrel. I would get the bigshot because all these people recommended (sp?)it. &nbs p; &nbs p; &nbs p;

I love my J&J and it was only 30$ cus I got it off ebay. I never tried a bigshot but my J&J is great compared to my stocker. If you have the money go for the bigshot but otherwise save it and get a J&J

Get the bigshot. It will shoot way better than the J&J. The acurracy and
distance and acurracy at a distance are amazing. With the right paintballs
you can shoot super accurate. When I was playing paintball with my friend
I was hitting him so much with this barrel. It is an awesome barrel. It is
only slightly louder than the J&J (I can' tell the difference in sound but
some people can) and it is so much better. I hope your satisfied with
whatever choice you make.

I've never used afterburner but I've had success with midnight and blaze, I usually buy one of those. Most paint will work fine though, you shouldn't have trouble finding paint that fits.

And medium bore draxxus paint works good!
