So what is the purpose of silencing the sear spring.
From everything that I have tested it does absolutely nothing but slow the sear spring from contracting as quick as it does uncovered.
And who really give a flying poo about guessing you mundane modifications?

your avatar is a reflection of your personality, decepticon lover. its all about autobots. anyway your ignorance of the silenced sear spring mod is no subtlty. puttin heat shrink tubing over the sear spring will dramaticaly silence the marker, while not affecting the performance of said spring.
Optimus Prime all the way megabum!

And why is that? No one can prove it beyond saying what it quoted everywhere else. You do realize that the vast majority of noise from a Tippmann comes from either the back bolt contacting the valve or endcap, the valve seal breaking open, and the massive amount of turbulence created in the twists and turns of the Tippmann valve system. I highly doubt that that little sear spring would ever over power those other factors.
Where is a decibel analysis of this mod? How would shrink wrapping a spring effect the noise it produces by any other way than dampening the springs movement?
You need to think before you just blindly jump into the blender.
Not to mention that Prime gets cut down like a chump. At least Megatron clung to life with some tenacity. And to be even more specific, unless you are blind my icon is a flip-flopping Decpticon/Autobot image. It's not all about good and evil being clear cut.

the sear spring is silenced by the thin rubber coating deflecting sound waves generated by the spring returning to its resting position, this mod may not completely eliminate the noise from the internals however it helps in both noise reduction and making my setup unique which i take pride in.
this blender u speak of seems to have been unplugged
as for the transformer banter, watch any episode involving a confrontation between prime and megatron and u will see that 90% of the time megatron retreats to the sky with the rest of the decepticons on his tail. maybe if he had a half decent organization of allies he would be slightly more successful (ie star scream`s disloyalty)

Wow, thank you for reviving a dead thread nub. We all needed this to resurface so the infinite wisdom of the paintball community can be spewed forth like the proverbial liquid ejection from a dogs bottom.
I was giving the kid a hard time because he was just pulling stuff from his arse.I thank you for your interjection and lecture.

the grips i made myself, as for the transformer controversy? it takes a rare mind to truly appreciate the simple complexities and classic good vs evil drama that is the transformers. however i regret posting in this very old thread, its late and im bored.
