Topic: i polished my internals Posted: 27 June 2004 at 4:06pm |
i just got done polishing my internals, it turned out great, nice and smooth now, but......... i didnt put aluminum polish on it after i was done. but i did use carb cleaner to clean off all the axcess metal/paint what ever that stuff is. then i re oiled it. is that ok not to use aluminum polish? it looks fine to me.
while i did that, i also did the pen spring mod, it feels lighter when its not cocked, but when u cock it, it doesnt feel any different from the normal spring.

Well you cleaned your internals not polished you should use aluminum stuffs. You put it on using a drill or like a dremel.

The front bolt rides on the power tube and doesn't even touch the sides. it slides up into the barrel as its firing. You will notice some mold marks in the power tube. Carefully sand them out. Don't remove any material from the powertube except for the excess flashing.
If you did a good job on the rear bolt areas, just get the paint out, it doesn't need to be mirror polished. You will notice a much smoother feel to the marker, and it sounds better too..

so you don't need to go out and buy the polished internals? you just take steel wool pad and go ove the stock internals?
thats friggin' awesome.
