Palmer Stabilizer????

  I have a 98c and a J&j ceramic, and double tirgger. I play woods ball and just started playing speedball.  I was looking for some thing like an x-chamber or regulator.  Then i came across this  Palmer Stabilizer that people were telling me about.  If you can give me any information about it like...

What exactly does it do

If it is worth getting it

would there be any other suggestions on what to get

^ Regulators are not expansion chambers! I wish you'd stop telling people that.

Expansion chambers allow liquid C02 to expand into a gas. But it doesn't do anything to control how much gas enters your gun. They increase your consistency, but you can have the occassional velocity spike. Since HPA tanks store air/nitrogen gas, an expansion chamber would be little more than a gas through grip.

Regulators restrict airflow to allow a certain amount of pressure and gas to enter your market, giving you a more predictible velocity over the chronograph. Espcially since you have the ability to control that pressure. However MOST regulators cannot withstand the freezing liquid C02, hence THEY ARE NOT EXPANSION CHAMBERS. The reason why the Palmer Stabilizer can work with C02, is because the seals inside the regulator are built to withstand the liquid C02. That doesn't make them expansion chambers.

Expansion chambers have sections/stages/chambers to trap liquid C02. Regulators have springs and seals.

1) I answered in the above statement.
2) Yes, it's worth getting. Control over your air flow = greater consistency over velocity = greater accuracy = tighter groupings.
3) Do you mean other worthwhile upgrades? High Pressure Air tanks would be good. But that depends on your availability of compressed air or nitrogen.

With a 98c, if you bought a male Stabilizer, you would have to buy a vertical adapter.
I believe you can also get a direct Stabilizer, which would screw in where your steel braided hose is screwed into currently. However, if you decide to ever get another marker, you'd have a difficult time finding an adapter for it.
Another option is to get a female Stabilizer, which replaces your ASA adapter. A ring kit or block kit would need to be purchased in order to mount it correctly.
If you like remotes, then you might consider the inline Stabilizer. Screws directly onto your tank and then connects to your hose.
