ok first practice with your marker, shoot off all of those blue streaks as practice since with a flatline all of them are either going to break in your barrel or not break if you hit them wiht a sledgehammer, since your going to be playing woodsball just be aggresive, your gonna want to sit in a bush and shoot at sounds wiht your "sniper rifle" but thats not gonna work, dont be afraid to get shot, go to where you hear markers bing fired. and have fun.

Well, it shoots paintballs. Like, do you need to know how to take off the flatline and take apart the gun to clean it? |

Read the manual.
I tried to use small words, and as few of them as possible. |

Well its a 98 custom with a stock, remote, and flatline. The stock helps you when aiming at targets that are far away, the flatline helps you hit targets that are far away, and the remote lets you store your co2 tank in a harness so you can move your gun around with more ease. This is a great gun for woodsball, not for speedball.

Ok, what it does- the 98 custom is a paintball marker that uses compressed air (Carbon Dioxide [CO2], Nitrogen [Nitro], or Highly Pressurized Air [HPA]) to push a bolt forward, that in turn strikes a paintball and launches out of the marker, through a barrel, and hopefully at your target. A remote line is a cord that carries air from the tank into the gun, and it is used to relocate the tank to a "belt" pouch to lighten the gun by keeping the weight of the tank off the gun. The stock is merely a solid device attached to the back of the gun to help stabilize aiming and lessen recoil by bracing the gun against your shoulder. the Flatline is a curved barrel that creates a backspin on the paintball and allows the ball to travel further then a traditional barrel. A hopper is used to carry the paintballs with the gun, kinda like a magazine of bullets, and it connects via a 45 degree elbow into the loading feedneck, which allows the paintballs to fall into the gun's chamber to then be struck by the bolt and fired. The mask is to prevent physical harm to your sensitive eyes from being struck by paintballs travelling at speeds of 160-205 MPH. The Blue Streak paintballs are the ammunition for the gun, which by the way DO NOT work with a flatline, or any gun for that matter, mainly because they are manufactured crappy, sized crappy, and are all-around crap. I suggest using Marballizers, or any paint that has a higher price tag than Blue Streak paintballs.
To shoot the gun, screw on a filled tank (CO2 or Nitro/HPA), load paintballs into the hopper, cock the gun (pull back the little knob sticking out on the left side of the gun), and pull the trigger (not at your sibling's face, glass, or at any area where people are located that aren't wearing paintball masks), and watch as the apintball you fired hits something and breaks (hopefully). When you go to a (commercial) field to play, they will "chrono" your gun, which means they measure the velocity (speed) of your paintballs and make sure it's under 300 feet per second. To adjust this, there's a little screw located via your manual that you turn with an Allen Wrench (metal rod that's shaped funny). Try to turn it to 280 fps by turning, shooting over a chronometer, checking it, turning it some more, repeating until it's close (you'll never get it exact). Anymore questions? |

in order to use the flatline to its fullest. use only marbs or evils. as they are very high qualtiy small caliber paintballs. and you must hold the marker perfectly vertical in order to shoot straight, if you tilt the marker, the ball with hook in that direction after a a decent distance. this can be both positive and negative. positive in that if someone is hiding behind a bunker or tree, just tilt the marker on its side and try to hook round the tree. it takes practice and you wont be amazing at it for a while. but eventually youll be good. and negative if you wanted it to go straight and had the marker tipped slightly. im not gonna lie..the flatline has a steep learning curve. but if youre willing to invest time and a lot of paintballs into it, you will be very happy with the outcome. everyone on your team will be looking to you for coverfire and help when youre with them. you will be the goto guy. thats how it is with my firnds. oh you need someone bunkered down so you can move..no problem. lets rip the flatline at em and bunker down a few people.

nman- not sure what FAQ's you want, unless you mean you want the link to the FAQ at the top of the forum (the sticky). Plus, you really gotta work on your spelling.
It's a 98 Custom Semi-Automatic Paintball Marker. It's weighs that much (hold it), it shoots paintballs. There's not much to it, except what I described. It's black (can be silver), it has a trigger. The stock is a stock. What are you asking?? FAQ's of what? FAQ means Frequently Asked Questions, which usually are "What's a Flatline do?" or "What paint is good for it?" or "What kind of mods can I do?" Maybe this'll help: http://www.model98.net Edited by LordJovian |

No offense but you do sound stupid saying that, or maybe you were angry when you made so much grammar, spelling mistakes. Or maybe your an immigrant, not thats there's anything wrong with that, this country is based on a bunch of immigrants. Anyway some tips: When shooting with flatline hold it as straight as possible. When you lean with your gun or tilt it to the side because the ball will curve. General tips: Always listen to your ref, never create trouble. Clean your gun fully after each day of play. Shoot one or two paintballs at target if your not hitting your target adjust the angle of your gun to "lob the ball". If your are then light em up to make sure you hit 'em. No gun is perfectly accurate. Do not waste paint, if your not hitting close to him, do not think that if you spam one paintball with push the other one farther. Always wear a mask and make sure everyone around you does too. Even if game ends or your out do not take off your mask until ref says so. Do not have gun set to over 280 FPS, not good for flatline. Make sure your hopper is shut tight, do not waste paint so foolishly. Dont give anyone any paint not even one because more and more people will ask you if you give each one a paintball you'll 100 paintballs poorer. Cover your genitals. I never really got him in the nads but awfully close and ones jumped to the ground and hit my cup on a rock. After you aquire a hefty bruise press Ice firmly to reduce swelling and to stop internal bleeding. Re-oil all that needs to be oiled after cleaning it. If your running Co2 even if your not, check your O-rings, a piece of rubber on to of your tank, the part that you screw in. DO NOT TAKE APART YOUR GUN IF IT IS PRESSURIZED, TAKE OFF YOUR AIR BEFORE YOU DISSASSEMBLE. MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS NOT COCKED. So after you take off your hopper and tank, remove safety and shoot ones to make sure you dont get hit the spring, you might get hit even though the gun is not cocked. Wear old clothing, not of bad quality though so not to rip. Think of what upgrades you want before you play and during play think of what you actually need. I hope this was as infrorming as a panthlet. |
