I want to use compressed air, i dont want to get a low pressure kit for it, so how do i use compressed air? i think a need a high pressure tank, please give me some names of some good tanks, also i want to get at least 1000 shots for 1 bottle so what size do i need?? and will i be able to still use Co2? also do i need a regulator? any questions answered would be useful, thanks!!

All you need is a high pressure tank. A 68/4500 should give you around 100 shots. And you can still use co2.

you will get about 1320 shots with that one, and as long as its a high pressure tank, your fine, no regs, no low pressure kits. nothing, all u need is a high pressure tank and ur good to go.

To figure out how many shots you can get do this: If it is a 3000 psi tank multiply the number of cubic inches by 10. If it is a 4500 psi tank multiply the number of cubic inches by 15. Its a handy little trick. |

And for a 5000 psi tank like the Evil Scion, multiply ci by 20.

And for a 5500 psi tank take the number of cubic inches, divide by 12, multiply by 3.142341231, then apply the answer to the quadratic formula, take the positive value then multiply by the derivative, then take that and multiply by the square root of 7. What?

Yes, you will need a high pressure tank.
All you need to do is screw the tank into your ASA and you're ready to go. However, to protect your investment and performance, be sure to buy a tank cover (I highly recommend a DYE Rhino cover), a fill nipple cover, and thread protectors. An 88ci/4500 will give you a lot of shots, but you may also want to consider the size of the tank as well. At your field, do you pay for each refill on HPA or is all day fee/included in the field fee? If it's the former, you'll want a bigger tank. If it's the latter, then get a smaller tank and refill per round. It takes, literally, seconds to refill a HPA tank because of the fill nipple. You never have to take the tank off to refill it. Crossfire and Nitro Duck are the most common tanks purchased by people here. I have the WGP WorrGas 70ci/4500psi tank, and it works quite well. It was pretty cheap to, compared to a Crossfire 68ci/4500 tank. |

I have a 98c and i was thinking of converting to HPA also, now if u go with a high pressure tank instead of a LPK and a low pressure tank, what is the difference, which peforms betta?

Well, a low pressure kit and low pressure tank will actually decrease your preformance. You'll most likely experience starving your marker of air or shoot-down.
Low pressure tanks are designed for markers that operate BELOW 200psi. Even with a low pressure kit, the lowest a Tippmann A-5 or 98c can operate at is 300. A general rule of thumb, is that your tank should be about 200psi over the marker's operating pressure. A low pressure tank has an output of 400-450psi. For a Tippmann, you would require a tank that outputs at least 500-600psi. You can get away with a low pressure kit and a sub-high pressure tank if you get an adjustible HPA tank. However, look to spend an additional $100 for an adjustible HPA tank over a preset tank. |

Shouldn't be too much of a problem. You'll have to tuck it under your arm or use it as a stock more than likely. I haven't really seen a 88ci. I have a 70ci, and that's pretty much the largest I've seen on the field.

You dont need a 88ci tank, its huge. I would suggest a 68/4500 crossfire. |

Nope, my 70ci doesn't get in the way of my shooting. But, my setup is different from yours. I have a drop forward and a solid stock on my marker, so my situation is different.
You either use the 70ci as a stock, or you tuck it under your arm like any other tank. I suggest going to a paintball store and ask if you can see how it feels on your marker. |
