I have an old SL-68 II and I love it to death. Go pumps! Anyway, the paint job on it isn't what it used to be and i was wondering if anyone knew if there was anyway to paint it. Any web sites that do this kind of work, personal experiences, etc. would be great. I just know that it is cast iron so painting it will be a little tricky. If this topic has been posted before, I apologize as I am new to the forum. Any help would be super and I look forward to hearing some of your suggestions. Thanks!

P.S.- Does anyone know where I could find aftermarket barrels for the SL-68 II? Or if they even make them at all anymore!

here is a crash course. strip the old paint off, smooth any parts that arent, then spray or primer, then put like 2 to 3 coats of what ever paint you want it to be on there. then you can get the gloss paint and spray it on there or wet sand it with emery cloth if you want it to have a shine on it.

you should sand it down, then put a black primer on it, then put a black gloss for the best look.It should last you a 5 to 10 years.

And your barrel question was totally missed.

County Paintball (countypaintball.com) has J&J Ceramic SL-68 barrels in stock. I believe he keeps 14" in stock which is what I prefer on my SL-68. You can also order them direct form J&J and there you would also have the option of a 12" barrel.

Smart Parts has also made All American's for the SL-68, though County no longer carries them and I never found them anywhere else (and never wanted them once I found the ceramic).

A-5: 12" Ceramic, Egrip/WAS/Duel, HPA, MP5 sliding stock
SMG-68: 12" Ceramic
68-Specials(8): 12"&14" Ceramic, 12V Revy *** 1 Tip-n-Strip, 1 Blue, 1 FA w/Qloader
SL-68: 14" Ceramic
SMG-60 Ext. Line
