**Copied from A5OG Forum**
Hello, Most of you who have sights love them but sometimes in games you do not have enough time or room to put your sight to your eye and shoot, you have just enough time to shoot. And when you in this situation you should hope you hit your target with in the first few shots. I will tell you something that should help your accuracy without the need of a sight/scope. The method im about to tell you guys is called many things two that i know are Shooting from the Hip or Zen Shooting. For one thing you dont shot from the hip so dont think this is a rambo-ish tip: Now shooting from the Hip is when you know your gun SO WELL that its like an extention of your hand or finger/s. You know where it is at all possible times (when its in your hands). What do i mean by this ? Well point to the closest window, door, your monitor, really anything you can do it as long as you know where the thing is that you want to point to. You know its to your right so you point your finger to the right. Now pretty much do the same thing with you gun. Take it put it in your hand get into you shooting stance, but your trigger finger above the trigger pointing straight. And aim at different objects, but dont use your sights, just point. For the most part when you point the gun will be aimed right towards that object. How just do this for 10-15 minutes a day. As you get used to this try moving your finger back down next to the trigger and point your gun at stuff. Eventually once you excel in this little thing and when your on the field you should beable to knock off targets within the first 1-2 shots. Now during after getting the "Shooting from the Hip" thing down you should always work on accuracy. When i say work on it i dont mean during a game, when you dont have anything to do take your gun out load it up with 100 balls or so, go into the back and shoot targets from 15 feet all the way too 200 feet or even more. Most people just refuse to do some target practice and that really messes up their accuracy. If you cant hit targets with in 2 shots 50 feet from you what think you will beable to do the same on a target 100 feet away. Paintball is not something you are just Great at it from the start you have to train and practice. As for other accuracy tips there is the obvious paint to bore match. Which is matching the size of your paintball to the size of your barrels bore. Simple take a paintball you will be using and put it in the barrel. If it roles out its to small and it get stuck and cant be blown out then its to big. But if it gets stuck and comes easily out with the blow of your breathe then its good. The size of your barrel is also another factor. You should get at least 10 1/2 inches of barrel for best accuracy. If the barrel is any shorter you will notice after about 50-60 feet the abll will spin off. The final two main factors is velocity and paintball, if velocity is to high it will be very inaccurate and unstable. As far as paintballs, "You get what you pay for" If you buy a case for 30$ dont expect much, but also research the balls fill and shell quality. Thats pretty much it i would say i have great accuracy and i follow all of the above. So if i made an error or left something out please add/correct me. Thanks Jackal |

Nice. It's just a guess, but I think you really like the A5OG Forum. Whenever I am mad in a game, i run and shoot from my hit. I hit the opponent sometimes.

Thats true, but if you have a good paint to barrel match, good barrel, HPA, and no problems with recharge rate, your paintball marker can shoot straight enough to go right where you want it. Ofcourse it will not shoot as strait as a rifle, but also dont forget most paintball games are played in closer areas giving the paintball less time to spin out or what ever it does. Jackal |

In the military we call this instinctive shooting the 'shotgun technique'. Aiming it at the target by instinct. Now, they also tell us we shoudl almost never have to do that. In a tactical situatio, the gun should never leave your shoulder, and should always be pointing the same way as your eyes. Paintball guns aren't heavy- you can whip 'em around pretty quickly. You should be able to keep your eyes looking down the sights pretty much at all times... |

Practice keeping both eyes open , and one looking down the barrel at your (target ?) and the other peeping thru your sight , soon , this type of snap shooting will become instinct , but it takes practice to become good at , like anything else , practice,,
