Friend of mine wants to get into paintball with me. He's considering the Pro/Carbine as his first purchase but he doesn't know much about it. He's also relying heavily on me for any info about the gun. I was wondering if you guys could fill me in on it so I could help him out. I need the pros/cons, upgrade possibilities (not personal mods; ones that can be done at a pro shop), and any opinions you have on it. Thanks for your help. P.S. Sorry if this post is in the wrong forum. |

Pros Very reliable Cons The trigger pull is very heavy (9lbs) and the only way to fix that is to get SL68II trigger springs. This will lighten the trigger pull from 9lbs to 3 lbs (The same as an M98 custom) Due to its design it makes the Pro-Carb more expensive then the M98 Not as customizable as the M98 or A-5 The Pro-Carb is a great gun but IMO the M98 and A-5 are better. The M98 is cheaper, just as durable and it comes stock with a lighter trigger pull. Instead of the Pro-Carb get the M98. |

Tell your friend he has good selection skills.
Pro Carbine Page There you can find upgraded P.C Note: Some of them do have home mods to them but tell your friend to read into them a little more, a few are quite simple and easy. I've followed the steps for a couple of mods and in January when project carbine is done things should be lookin up. |
