Most people will tell you that 14" is the maximum optimal length.
Reason being that after 12-14" the barrel simply adds friction, thus
possibly slightly reducing velocity. The small loss of velocity may
result in a drop in air efficiency. Also, there is no increase in accuracy by using disproportionately long barrels.
My personal opinion is that you should get whatever length barrel you want. I, however, have never owned a barrel longer than 14". Edited by 5ptcontingency |
