umm.. i think it just kind of loobs balls as opposed to shooting them thats why i didnt buy one plus u can go to smart parts and get a progressive barrel and shoot really accurately

It wasnt a good idea for the 98 cause youll just chop(break balls in the barrel or chamber of the marker.)balls quite a bit. Two ways to get rid of this problem are 1. buy really hard shelled paint. or 2. Get rid of the flatline and byu a dye ultralight barrel for your marker instead. And yes it is an improvement over the stock barrel in terms of range. The curve in the barrel puts backspin on the ball as it leaves the barrel whick is supposed to make the ball fly further. (I've never been bunkered by a girl, heck ive never been bunkered.) |

I don't really care for the flatline, but some people like it. it works fine for woodsball, unless you do a lot of fast shooting. anything is better than the stock barrel. I have a 14" nightstick by 32degrees. it works great. J&J makes some awsome barrels too. your sig is awsome. welcome to the forum Edited by whack-a-mole |

it's was a good decision, but you may want to look into getting a
expansion cghamber or remote line to add consistancy and accuracy, then it'll be SWEET. it seems like a let down when you first buy it, but get one or both of those, and you'll be happy person. and it doesn't lob em, it's called a FLATline barrel |

Its ok for woods ball but its not great. It will only add distance not accuracy to your shots. The FL barrel is not very accurate. Also the FL barrel can be finiky and pickey. You have to use small bore paint or you'll have problems with chopping and barrel breaks. Also you have to make sure the barrel is prefectly aligned or it will cause barrel breaks. IMO im not crazy of the FL barrel and unless you really want distance it's not worth the money.

i have a flatline and i LOVE it! ONLY and ONLY when its straight. u need to have the barrel completely strait on ur gun other wise itll shoot crooked. and i recently heard that if the balls come out of ur barrel then kinda float up, ur velocity might be too high so turn it down to like 275, or the paint too small. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND PMI BIG BALL PAINT. IT SHOOTS AWESOME OUT OF IT. just a bit of imput. and i completely agree with volkov, get a HPA or expansoin chamber and itll make it worth the moolah. I really dont like the flatline. My buddy let me use the flatline on my gun and i think my 14'' progressive rifled barrel works nicer for me when i play woodsball. Also, get a 14'' barrel (doesnt really matter what brand but try to get a progressive or 32 degrees). Some people say 14'' barrels hit trees and bushes alot, but mine is still in like-new condition. Hope this helps.

I have a flatline and its awsome. I also have a E-grip and have had no problems at all. and I think the flatline is the very best upgrade a woodball player can possibly buy.

yea , im testin it out tomarrow. so il let u guyz know how it works out.i think my biggest problem was that the barrel wasnt perfectly straight. putting the FL on my gun was a mission. i had a hard time with it. but now its fixed and straight so i should be ok. but thats true about the paint, i switched and tried diablo balls, and had way less barrel breaks.

well... i took the flatline off. it does work only and only when it is on straight, but its a hassel to worry about fixing al the time.so i switched over to the 16" tippman barrel. so im happy with it and its working much better now. *you got bunkerd by a girl* |

If you play woodsball thats the only barrel you need trust me, ive been taken out many times by them when I wasn't even close to reaching the person shooting at me. Just make sure its installed right and an x chamber will help.

I have a FL on my 98 an its awesome. I've played woodsball and speed ball and its great for both. I've nailed guys with high markers like a Karnivor off the break on a 225 ft. hyperball field in the mask, this thing kicks, plus I can out shoot my 98 and still not break paint or chop. It really helps in woodsball too.
