Hi I have the opportunity to buy a Crossfire 47ci 3000psi new cheap, will it be better than a Co2 20oz? More or less shots per charge? I plan on getting a palmer stab. I know it works with both, do you think is a good investment? I play mostly woods. My gun is in my sig. below |

First do a search questions like this have been asked alot. Secondly I would definitly reccomend you get the HPA tank for a few reasons. 1) No snowing 2) no problems at all with freezing 3) HPA isn't affected by weather like CO2 is 4) HPA is more stable then Co2 5) You wont have velocity jumps all over the place like you do when you use CO2. Also if you plan on getting a high-end gun soon you'll already have the HPA tank. |

A 47 ci tank won't get as many shots as a 20 oz Co2. On the other hand, refills are alot less expensive, all day air where I play costs $5. And as ^^ said, your gun will work alot better on it.

A 47/3000 will get you less than 400 shots on a stock Tippmann. A 20oz would get around 800 shots on the same gun.
I personally would not buy a tank that small, but it's your decision. If you play in cold weather where keeping co2 consistant can sometimes be a problem, then it might be a good choice. |

I agree, you won't get as many shots with that size tank. It would be better to get a 45/45k or a 68/3k tank.

HPA is superior to co2 for all the reasons ScarFace22 says. Once you start using HPA you'll never want to go back to co2. Have you ever seen any pros using co2?

Definitly. Tippmanns don't work that much greater on HPA then CO2. You'll get just about the same performance from both gasses. As I said though the only difference will be no freezing or snowing in cold weather. Edited by ScarFace22 |

dont bother getting HPA if you are getting a tank that small, get at least a 68/3000, a 68/4500 would be best though. you dont need the palmer stab with HPA |

Just to let you know that both 68/45 and 8845 tanks are huge. You might want to go take a look at the different size tanks at your local pro-shop. |
